“June Givanni’s Pan African Cinema Archive (JGPACA) is a unique volunteer-run audio-visual archive that houses a significant collection of pan-African visual culture. The collection is founded on the life’s work of June Givanni, whose dedication and passion for the work and legacy of Black filmmakers has culminated in an extraordinary collection of more than 10,000+ items collected over a 35 year period. The material in the collection spans the globe and ties together many of the creative and political links that Pan-Africanism has created.”
